原級・比較級・最上級の基本形
着眼点「何と何を比べているか」を先に見る。比べる相手は形も種類もそろえる。
原級: as 形容詞/副詞 as（同じ程度）／否定は not as (so) … as（〜ほど…ない）
比較級: 形容詞-er / more 形容詞 ＋ than
最上級: the 形容詞-est / the most 形容詞 ＋ in/of

注意副詞の最上級では the を省いてもよい（He runs (the) fastest in our class.）。同一人物・物の性質を比べるときの最上級は the を付けない（This lake is deepest here.）。
